Duncan Hume
Creator of Urban Activities, Duncan Hume graduated in 1999 from the world-renowned
Rambert Ballet School and began working immediately in ballet companies
both internationally and at home.
With experience of performing in Japan, the United States of America and Europe, he has much to impart with regards attaining your body’s peak output whilst under pressure.
He has danced for world-class Paris Opera prima ballerina Sylvie Guillem on her 2005 Far East Tour and for the highly-regarded German dance company, Ballet Hagen.
In London, he continues balancing commitments between the Royal Opera House and BBC television, where he recently finished filming “Pay off your Mortgage in Two Years” under the tough love mentorship of business guru Rene Carayol.
The “phenomenal lifestyle change” he underwent during the course of this TV series, resulted in the creation of Urban Activities, a fitness consultancy offering dance, sport and wellbeing services to schools and businesses.
Duncan acts as an elite dance and fitness consultant in schools all over London, working with children from primary right up to secondary ages and provides training programmes for committed sportspeople wishing to enhance their technique.
The exclusive Broadgate Club in the City of London recently commissioned his self-designed ”Urban Ballet Workout” for their highly-motivated clientele.
His dance skills combined with his skills as a coach and sports leader, accredited through appointments with South Bank University and Sports Coach UK, lend him a versatile approach that adapts to a huge variety of sports, utilising specialist training techniques that cross over from one discipline to another.
